Whoever designed this refrigerator saw the need to maximize space. The deep doorshelves make it easy to see and retrieve items. The main shelves are easy to adjust. The party tray is probably the best feature making access very easy. We changed brands to LG most because of an inferior ice maker on another brand. LGs is far far superior. Great size cubes quick to freeze and a very deep ice tray.

LG Model LFCS22520S - 01 Brittle Plastic

Ive had this Refrigerator for about 3 years and over that period one piece of plastic after another has cracked and broken. The quality of the plastic used in making the trays and compartment enclosures is extremely low. LG could have put a bit more into the quality using a plastic like polycarbonate but they didnt bother. This is infuriating because my refrigerator is falling apart and does not function properly any more. DO NO BUY THIS MODEL

ok refrigerator but LG has very poor cust service

The refrigerator has been working well. But 15 mths into owning it one day when opening the door a plastic piece has broken off. It was a small part but obviously cheaply made. Thankfully we bout it through Costco and we can get the part for free. But its been over a month and a half and the correct part has still not been received. I told them it was a door stop small plastic piece. Had to call twice because after a month the part has still not come. Called again finally got a box but it was two door handles. Not even close to what I needed. Tried dealing with LG directly and what a waste of time. Had to go through Costco again and an hr and a half on the phone. LG never sends you any info on the case no tracking info or even if the part was ever shipped. So now it been almost a week of the 7-10 days they said for the part to arrive will see if it ever gets shipped without another call.

I have used this LG French Door refrigerator for over three years and its has worked reasonably well. At times the unit would freeze food in the refrigerator section even though the target temperature was set at 38 degrees F. Now the ice maker has started to leak water. This is not what I expected when I bought the unit.

Buying an LG Refrigerator was a good idea for us. The dimensions and style are perfect for our current lifestyle. Bottom freezer was preferred to help the older grandkids get whatever they need for themselves and others *You can hear the running/humming frig sound all the time but explained in manual. Last when ice maker water is filling it is quite loud. We like the Energy Star quality and like this refrigerator.

We were excited to purchase a refrigerator since ours was so dated. The refrigerator is the prefect size for our house. The stainless steel gave the kitchen a fresh look. However after 6 months it started to make a loud motorized noise. It would happpen sporadly for up to 25 seconds. We were unsure what this was. We called LG for help because we have the service package. Unfortunately LG diagnosed our refrigerator over the phone by a mouse app and would not come to the house to address the issue. Extremely disappointing.

Great Refirigerator

This our second review of this product. The first was written before we took time to get used to the machine. We have now spent a few days with our new refrigerator. Initially it was not a pleasing as we thought it would be. However we have come to really love this machine. The fridge on top is just so nice for my wife and I. We were having a hard time getting into the bottom area of our old freezer on top machine and now no worries. And the Ice maker is just the icing on the cake. Workmanship of the machine is superb. We are looking forward to using this fridge for a long time.

LG fridge seems well made compared to other manufacturer brands. Have only had it for a few weeks but hope it will last as long as our old fridge that lasted 18 years. Only design flaw is the shelves because of the way they hook in. You can not stagger them to fit taller items unless you remove one. Same with bins on side as they are limited too.

My Life Is Good With My LG Refrigerator

My LG Refrigerator came home to live with me on December 17 2019 and has been a great companion since then there when I need it does its work here at home efficiently and is quiet and dependable However about 4-6 weeks ago I noticed some moisture in between the two top French doors and water droplets falling down onto the top of the freezer drawer. It took a few calls to organize a house call have the service man come out to make a diagnosis order the replacement part and take care of the treatment but Andrew did a great job in making it happen He was knowledgeable efficient and seemed to really care about getting it right He is a very good employee sometimes hard to find these days My LG refrigerator is no longer perspiring looking better feeling better and Im grateful

It doesnt work

This fridge sucks the compressor comes on only when I hit the test button on the motherboard are there doesnt cool in either the fridge or the freezer Also l g was no help they said they would send somebody to repair it end have not seen anybody its been two weeks thus far

It shouldnt take 2 to 3 weeks to get a replacement compressor installed. To be without a refrigerator that long for my family is not right. What about all the food I had to throw out? Other than that problem I am very pleased with the product.

Perfect size

We bought this refrigerator in October but waited until after Thanksgiving for delivery. This is in our vacation home and the kitchen has somewhat limited space. The frig is perfectly sized for our space and has the largest cu.ft capacity of any model out there in a 30 width design which is what we were hoping for. And it was at a reduced price so perfect timing as well. Very happy with the unit and excited to get to use it.

Issue split shelves

The refrigerator was delivered on Nov. 18th. In still went fine the refrigerator interior was not unpacked tape styrofoam etc.. After removing these items I found the split shelves would not stay latched in the back corners of the refrigerator. This allowed the shelves to droop in the center front. I contacted Home Depot first but I was referred to LG customer service. The customer service representative said they will send new replacement shelves with a lead time of 7 to 10 days. Today is the 10th day but no shelves so far.

A Major Functional Improvement

This French Door Fresh Food Top/Freezer Bottom is simply a Dream Come True It is so much easier to have fresh topside reduces bending and the french doors take up much less space The ice maker is awesome and HUGE and the Freezer compartment is so much easier to find the foods you want all laid out in front of you rather than hidden and buried in a lightless top freezer of old.

Just a couple of cons

This fridge is great overall--same volume with smaller footprint than my previous fridge LED lighting so I can actually see all the food door alarm to tell me if something isnt closed deep freezer drawer big door bins huge deli bin. Ive been used to having a covered dairy section which this does not have. so now my butters I keep several salted and unsalted grass-fed are in a plastic box on a shelf. The top drawer in the freezer doesnt come out all the way which is inconvenient. Other than those coupld of small complaints its great.

French Door Refrigerator

I bought my refrigerator a few weeks ago with a few hiccups but LG took care of me and now I absolutely love my refrigerator Originally the shelves did not sit straight. I worked with customer service and the LG Presidential Liaison to get new shelves ordered and delivered. This is such an upgrade compared to my old refrigerator. I have so much more room in the freezer and refrigerator that I cant even fill it. I would definitely say its a great purchase

It failed as predicted

Compressor failed after only 4 yrs. Our other fridges weve had one lasted 25 yrs the other abt the same . Repair guy here 3 times bef finally fixed. Thought wed like the Fr Door with bottom freezer but not so much. Like the French door part but bottom freezer is jyst as annoying as a top or side by side. Ideal would be two separate units - one whole just fridge and one who just freezer - upright- standing next to ea other. Need a huge kitchen for that.
