Wi-Fi cant connect to app

The ThinIQ app can only be used on older 2.4GHz Wi-Fi software. I cant connect the dishwasher to the app for diagnostics or remote control. LG Tech Support suggested I use a different network how many networks should I have in my house or switch Wi-Fi providers. The description of this LG Dishwasher does not disclose the 12.4GHz restrictions. Customers only find out about this after installation. Everything in my house works just fine on the existing Wi-Fi network. Only LG has a problem. Somehow thats my fault. Unit is three months old. This is NOT covered by the warranty.

Our appliances came with the new home we had built. We closed in October of 23 and our dishwasher began to leak on our wood floor. We called for service and he arrived next day. The tech said he would order on of the plastic end caps for the end of rack and a month later still no plastic piece.

Ive had the dishwasher for a little over a month and have been very happy with it I like how quiet it is and really like the sleek design and the third drawer at the top for long spoons spatulas and Tupperware lids. I havent had any issues with dishes not getting cleaned. If I had to pick one negative thing Id say the dishes dont dry very well even with rinse aid. I havent tried the night dry feature yet just been propping the door open after cycle to let it all dry for a couple hours. Theres a few features I havent used yet like the turbo jets or flex zone because honestly I dont even know what that means but its a great product and I would recommend

Everyday Im thrilled with this purchase. This is by far the best most efficient dishwasher I have ever used. It replaced my Bosch which was 10 years old and was always in need of repair. Dishes come out sparkling clean. There is a turbo cycle that cleans and dries in 60 minutes which is amazing The top rack for silverware is so convenient and the other racks are adjustable and accommodate large loads with ease The installation through Best Buy was quick and efficient. The dishwasher doesnt actually wash dishes. After almost every load I have to rewash 5-15 items. Its so frustrating Whats the point of a dishwasher if it doesnt wash dishes. It smells often too even though I clean the filter weekly the whole dishwasher twice a month. Its probably the water regulations. Anyone do the water usage on all the dishes you have to rewash after running this dishwasher?

In general I am satisfied with this dishwasher. It does good job with dishes and relatively easy in use. However I give 3 starts is for build quality. Detergent dispenser broke after 1 year of very light use. This is unacceptable for a product for such a brand as LG and price point. I was lucky that I was under warranty from a retailer so it was fixed very quickly.

Must pre-rinse everything Dont buy this one

This dishwasher doesnt wash dishes We have to rinse off everything if we want it clean. The top drawer feature captures crud up there and only really flat items fit. Instead of putting all your silverware in the huge basket you must slide each one into a slot and our butter knives dont fit. Since we rarely use the entire basket all the space it takes up is wasted. On the middle rack where the coffee cups go the rack does not allow them to tilt to drain off so water is always left on the bottoms. We have ended up with multiple black spots on spoons and bowls they werent like that when we loaded the machine so we must check each to make sure the LG spots as I know they are likely to be called in the future are not present.

Im going with a tentative 5 stars on this dishwasher. Installed two weeks ago. It looks good runs quietly and cleans great. Yesterday I got an LE error which the manual tells me is a motor fault issue. I restarted the wash and everything was ok. Its a little concerning given the cost of the new unit but I will keep an eye on this.

Overall nice dishwasher. We did have an issue with the first one that we got. It was remedied quite quickly buy the company and repairman. Moving forward it does a nice job. I really like the LG app to monitor when to run the cleaning cycle and when there is finishing liquid needed. Takes the guess work out.

Looks very good install was pretty straight forward. The extra sleeve they have around the drain line makes it much larger than it needs to be and probably wont fit through your existing hole. The top mounts are in a standard location so if you have quartz/granite countertops and have brackets glued to the underside to mount to they wont line up with your old one. Didnt even get to run the unit and the first time I slid out the middle drawer all the bearings fell out of the slide. I literally bought it because the middle rack rolled so nice. Guess well see how it gets handled as Im not removing this just for a new slide. Will update after that if it goes well

Bad customer service

I love my dishwasher but hate the service I have revived it has been one big fiasco after another the place I bought it forgot to write down that I wanted an install. Ive been calling them for a while now and nothing ever seems to happen so I ended up calling LG I was not very happy with that cause I was hung up on twice without any kind of explanation. I have been waiting since before Christmas to get this problem fixed. I have only washed one load of dishes. I had to get my niece to come over to wash my dishes for me nothing ever seems like it is getting done but apparently I have a tech coming out next Tuesday this coming Tuesday to look at it the refrigerator I bought do the same thing I will think twice before buying an LG in the next time. Sorry for all my negativity.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The top washer impeller was assembled incorrectly and blocked the cutlery rack from opening. I called LG three times and got three different answers: 1. send us a video after sending the video they disconnected the call. 2. Pour a gallon of water into the bottom of the dishwasher and see if the water level is level. Then go online and find out how to level the dishwasher. 3. Ok. Well send you a new cutlery trey.

Overall I am happy with the performance and noise level of the dishwasher. I installed it myself easily but there was an issue with the middle rack being broken. The track spilled all the ball bearings the first time I slid the rack. LG sent me a new one but the middle rack just doesnt seem to stay level. The track clips in and doesnt have fasteners so it tends to pivot so you need to tilt slightly to close depending on load.

I bought this and compared pricing with other and functionality. Pricing at Home Depot Lowes and Best Buy ended up being a better deal at Best Buy with an additional bonus gift card. I was able to get a sound bar. Im really pleased with the results. Cleans well super quiet. We love the thin IQ app. Let me know when dishes are ready to be taken out.
